“Hey, who’s that?” Grace asked when a girl about her age flew past on her bike with a crow clinging to her shoulder and a pair of binoculars swinging form her neck.

“Oh, that’s Annie Crow,” Lois said with her chin lifted. “You don’t want to play with her.”

Annie Crow Knoll: Sunrise is the first novel in a literary fiction series by Gail Priest.
